Title: Mountains of Light
Author: R.Mark Liebenow
Pages:192
Week 3: the book I read was:
Title: A Light So Lovely (The Spiritual Legacy of Madeleine L’Engle)
Author: Sarah Arthur
Pages: 202
Started: 1/16/22
Ended:1/20/22
Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Summary: The author talks about Madeleine’s work in relation to her religious beliefs.
Thoughts: I liked it. I’ve never read any of L’Engles books and this made me want to read her adult nonfiction. The author does a good job of showing how Madeleine’s work is congruent with her religious beliefs.
For Week 2, the book I read is:
Title: The Grace of Enough
Author: Haley Stewart
Pages: 152
Started: 1/9/2022
Ended: 1/12/2022
Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Summary: Haley talks about how to live a more simple life, with less material positions as a Catholic.
Thoughts: I thought it was a good book. As a Catholic, I connected with it, especially the chapters dealing with how to get more involved with the Church in small ways to give back to the community. It was insightful without being preachy. A non-Catholic could read it and would get something out of the book.
For my Week One of ‘Read 52 Books in 52 Weeks’, I read ‘30 Days in Italy’ edited by James O’Reilly which is part of the Travelers Tales series.
Began:1/1/22
Ended: 1/5/22
Pages: 193
Stars:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
